Big Sur Charter School believes in a holistic approach to learning and offers a “blended” learning experience, created by combining the student’s learning at our Monterey Learning Center and in the community with home education.

Because not all students share the same abilities or learn the same way, we are committed to providing academically challenging programs that meet the individual needs of each student. With input from families, our credentialed teachers identify your child’s unique interests, strengths and challenges.

We are currently enrolling students in our Monterey Learning Center for the 2017-18 school year only.

2017-18 Application for Enrollment

The 2018-19 Application for Enrollment will be available beginning January 16, 2018. We will accept those applications through Friday, March 30th at 4:00pm.  All applications received by this date will be included in our annual enrollment lottery, which will take place at the Big Sur Charter School on April 6, 2018 at 5:30pm.  Applications received after the deadline will be added to a waitlist by date and time received.
